This from 3rd District Congressman Kevin Yoder:
The Kansas City Veterans Affairs hospital has announced it will expand and add a new Community-based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Johnson County, officials announced last night. The Johnson County VA CBOC will be one of thirteen new clinics announced for activation by Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki. The clinic is scheduled for activation in early 2013. More details are still being finalized, including the final date of operation and specific operation.
“The announcement of a new Johnson County community-based outpatient clinic is very exciting and welcomed news for our local veterans, and our community. Now, veterans will have more options to receive quality VA assistance, and will not be required to travel greater distances for simple clinic visits. Veterans have sacrificed so much for our country and we must continue to help our returning soldiers any way we can,” stated Congressman Kevin Yoder. “I’m thrilled the VA will soon open this clinic in Johnson County.”
