Olathe Police officers were dispatched at 8:30 Monday morning, Oct. 15, to the area of 1800 W. Dennis Ave. on an injury accident involving a pedestrian.
Officers arrived and determined a 9-year-old boy was crossing Dennis Ave. on a bicycle and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling east bound on Dennis Ave. The child was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries. He was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.
