Steven ‘Kyle’ Hickman obituary

Steven “Kyle” Hickman was born on Oct. 6, 1982, and lost his life on Feb. 24, 2013, trying to help a friend.

Kyle will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Lindsey Crifasi, her parents and brother, Pamela Adams McKean and Vincenzo Crifasi, Adam Crifasi and many extended family members. He will be forever remembered by his parents, Kelly and Steve Hickman, brother Chad Hickman and his wife Megan Hickman, brothers Trey and Neil Hickman and the little joys of his life, nephews Ellison and Calvin Hickman, grandparents Clifford and Annabelle Hickman, Philip and Judy Cutting, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kyle was full of a powerful energy, touching others with words and presence. His integrity and free spirit were two of his greatest characteristics. He spent much energy working with children with special needs and doing things for others. Kyle left a mark on all who knew him through his compassionate heart and selfless nature. Kyle filled his life traveling with his wife and friends, enjoying nature, cycling, cooking, reading, debating, teaching, learning, smiling, creating laughter, dancing, story embellishing, and most of all loving. He lived life to the fullest.

Those who wish to offer their support may attend a celebration of Kyle’s life on March 3 at Spring Hill Community Center, 613 S Race, Spring Hill, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Brain and Behavior Research Foundation
