Kobach to speak at Elephant Club luncheon

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will be the guest speaker at the monthly Elephant Club luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 19 at the Hereford House in Leawood.

The general public is cordially invited to come to the Elephant Club Lunch.  No membership is required. Bring a friend. Reservations can be made by calling 913-341-8683 or emailing:  jcrpks@att.net.

The purpose of the Elephant Club luncheons is to help fund the Johnson County Republican Party.  Friends who come recognize it takes financial support to make the party strong.  There is no paid staff in the JCRP, the organization is run totally by volunteers.

AG Hall of Fame to benefit from Whole Foods’ Giving Day

From 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on March 20, Whole Foods Market, 91st and Metcalf, Overland Park, will donate 5 percent of its net sales to the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs.

Whole Foods conducts Community Giving Days several times a year to support local not-for-profit organizations.

The AG Center has been selected as a 5 percent Community Giving Day recipient and AG Hall of Fame volunteers will be at the store that day to provide information about the center’s activities that promote agriculture and honor the American farmer. Continue reading
