“I am going to experience something life-changing and eye-opening. I’m incredibly thrilled to have this opportunity,” Bieber said.

Students Receive Scholarship

Saige Dixon and Savannah Diaz have received the 2013-2014 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship. Both are sophomores at Olathe South High School.

In May, they will take part in a four-day workshop covering all aspects of the exchange program from getting to know the other recipients to role playing study-abroad situations and learning about cultural differences.

The scholarship is sponsored by the U.S. Congress and German Federal Parliament. It includes a 10-month stay in Germany while attending a German high school.
