City Council

The Olathe City Council will next meet Tuesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall for a regular session. Olathe’s Public Works Department Receives Second Prestigious Reaccreditation

The City of Olathe’s Public Works Department has recently been awarded a second prestigious American Public Works Association (APWA) Reaccreditation.  The APWA Reaccreditation program recognizes public works agencies that go beyond the management practices requirements established nationally in the public works industry. The Olathe Public Works Department previously received original Accreditation in July 2004, and Reaccreditation in January 2009. Attempted robbery at Lone Elm Subway

Olathe Police officers were dispatched to Subway, 11100 S. Lone Elm Rd., on an attempted robbery call about 9:30 Saturday night, April 27.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a male had entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk and the male became involved in a struggle at which time the male left the store in an unknown direction on foot. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt.
