Olathe news briefs for the week of Oct. 21

City Council
The next regular session Olathe City Council meeting will is planned for Tuesday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall for a regular session. Regular sessions are broadcast live on OGN (Comcast channel 7, AT&T channel 99 and on the City’s website). For a recap of the previous Council meeting, visit the City Clerk’s webpage.

Watch the Mail for your Street Maintenance Sales Tax Ballot
On Wednesday, October 23, the Johnson County Election Office will mail ballots to all registered Olathe voters to consider a 3/8th cent sales tax to fund street maintenance.  Ballots should arrive in mailboxes on Thursday and Friday of this week.  They must be received by the election commission no later than noon on November 12.  The City reminds voters that there will be no mail service on November 11 due to the Veterans Day Holiday, so please consider returning ballots earlier.
