Don’t suffer from Voter Insanity

As voters, sadly probably not that many, cast their ballots in today’s mid-term primary election, I offer a simple observation.

It is not designed to be an endorsement of any candidate or party. Merely just something to think about while in the voting booth.

In the past 6 years — even the past 14 years, which covers the terms of two presidents, one Republican and one Democrat — what have our elected officials in Washington accomplished to better our country, to provide the opportunities for individuals to improve their lives?

They have involved us in two senseless wars in which — just like Vietnam — our soldiers will have died and been injured in vain once our troops have left.

They have given us the Patriot Act, which gave the government more power while restricting and even eliminating individual rights of citizens.

They have given us the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) and instead of working together to make it better, they’ve done nothing.

Keyword: nothing — especially in the past six years.

They’ve done nothing to stop the flood of illegal immigrants crossing our borders.

They’ve done nothing to help Main Street and Middle Class America.

They’ve done nothing except listen to and cater to their high-finance and often secretive donors.

The one thing our elected officials are good at are gridlock and in-party fighting; they are losers at getting anything accomplished that benefits our country and its citizens.

Albert Einstein once said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

I say: “Voter insanity is electing the same people again and again and expecting different results. It ain’t gonna happen!”

Think about that before pushing the voting machine button.
