The Rachel’s Challenge bullying prevention program and Friends of Rachel Clubs have been active in Olathe’s middle schools since fall 2012, and counselors are still finding new ways to spread the message of kindness.
When Chisholm Trail Middle School counselor Beth Hufnagel heard about the Harlem Ambassadors performance basketball team and its three major messages, she knew they could have a positive impact on her students. The team travels around the world promoting the lessons of staying in school, staying off drugs, and avoiding bullying actions.
“I love all three messages and I hope our students will hear what they had to say and it will leave a lasting impression,” said Hufnagel who is sponsor of the Friends of Rachel Club. Continue reading
