After more than 14,000 hours of schooling from kindergarten through 12th grade, this year’s graduating class was ready to accept their diplomas. In graduation ceremonies held May 17, more than 1,860 high school seniors became graduates of the Olathe School District.

These graduates were guided along their educational journey by award-winning educators and a dedicated support staff. Whatever these graduates choose to pursue in the near future — trade school, work, two-year college or four-year university — they have experienced an award-winning education in the state’s second-largest school district.

This year’s graduates achieved a broad range of honors during their high school years:

  • National Achievement Scholar
  • Coca-Cola Scholar
  • National Merit finalists
  • Perfect score on the ACT exam
  • U.S. Army All-American Marching Band membership
  • First Team All-American honor from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association
  • U.S. Presidential Scholar candidates
  • And many other honors

As a group the class of 2015 received offers of more than $50.8 million in scholarships.
