Stock Honored by National School Boards Association

Josh Stock, a sixth-grade English teacher at Santa Fe Trail Middle School, was named by the National School Boards Association as one of “20 Educators to Watch in Educational Technology.”

Stock was one of 20 education leaders from across the country who are being recognized for their ability to inspire colleagues to explore and embrace innovative technology solutions and instructional strategies that contribute to high-quality learning experiences for all students.

Meetings cover middle school math options

District Math Coordinator Nancy Hughes and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Jessica Dain will conduct evening meetings in April to help parents of fifth-graders understand their child’s middle and high school math course options.

“We will focus on changes in the Kansas College and Career Standards which have caused us to realign our math acceleration policy,” Hughes said. “All grade levels and courses have experienced major shifts in content with Kansas College and Career Standards.” Continue reading
