Dianna R. Bacon, 75, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
Dianna was born on September 8, 1941 in Colby, Kansas to James and Betty Dearth. She worked for the City of Olathe for 27 years in the Finance Department, retiring as a Supervisor of Meter Reading. She enjoyed the outdoors caring for her donkeys and all her gardens. Spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids was one of her favorite things to do. Dianna also liked square dancing with her partner Matt.
Mrs. Bacon was preceded in death by her father James Dearth and husband, Barry Bacon.
She is survived by her mother, Betty McInturff of Olathe, Kansas, her partner of 22 years, Matt Cline of the home, 2 sons, Steve (Brenda) Bacon of Osawatomie, Kansas and Mark (Lori) Bacon of Bonner Springs, KS; daughter, Heidi Bacon of Irving, Texas; 2 brothers, Tim (Marilyn) Dearth and David (Debbie) Dearth; step-brother, Toney Baldridge and 2 step-sisters, Jackie Blaschke and Theresa Bailey. Also left to cherish her memory are 8 grandchildren, Hilary (Jordan), Shyann (Yurik), Tyler (Rena), Lashae (Gabe), Buck, Jacob, Kevin and Kyle (Alex) and 2 great grandchildren, Lillian and Emmersyn.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
