Donald Ray Coffman “Duck” 55, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully at home with family on Sunday August 7th, 2016. A visitation will be on Wednesday August 10th from 6pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 11, 2016 at the McGilley and Frye Funeral Home 105 E. Loula Olathe, Kansas 66061. Graveside service to follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens 23215 W 75th St, Shawnee, Kansas 66227.

Donnie was born December 28, 1960 to Jack Coffman Jr. and Virginia Coffman (Mosher) of De Soto, Kansas. Donnie graduated from De Soto High School in 1978 and started working at Deluxe Corporation in 1979 where he had 37 years of service. Donnie married Darla Mitchell and they had two daughters Kellee and Kylee. Most of Donnie’s free time was spent with his family, especially his three grandsons Weston, Jack, and Lincoln. His favorite place to be was outside as he was an avid gardener, enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and scuba diving.

Donnie is preceded in death by his father Jack Coffman Jr, father in law, Douglas Mitchell and brother in law, Ken Faircloth. He is survived by his mother Virginia Coffman; wife Darla Coffman; Mother in law Deanna Mitchell; daughters Kellee Sander and Kylee Pennay; three grandsons Weston Coffman, Jack Pennay, and Lincoln Pennay; brothers Larry Coffman (Carol), Terry Coffman (Lori); sisters Shirley Faircloth, Paula Danahy (Pat), Barbara Lebens (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In Lieu of flowers we will be accepting donations for the Coral Restoration Foundation Bonaire or donations can be made at to assist in restoring and preserving Donnie’s favorite place to scuba dive and spend time with his family.
