Earl Dewayne Morrison, 81, of De Soto, KS, passed away April 8, 2016 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe.

Graveside inurnment will be at Monticello Union Cemetery, Shawnee, KS. Arrangements: Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS, 913-856-7111. Memorial Contributions may be made to Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 W 87th St, Overland Park, KS 66212.

Earl was born April 3, 1935 in Parker, KS to Anna Agnes (Dinsmore) and William Allen Morrison. He attended school in Parker. Earl married Beverly Ann Loyd on July 3, 1954 in Garnett, KS. They moved to De Soto 30 years ago and co-owned E & B Enterprises, selling and repairing Indian Jewelry. He was a welder for Pitman Manufacturing in Grandview, MO and also self-employed, operating Morrison Welding. They also owned a small motel in Rockaway Beach, MO for several years. Beverly and Earl loved traveling on road trips and were full-time “RV’ers” for 30 years.

Earl was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cleveland, MO. He enjoyed fishing. Earl will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly in 2015, siblings John, Charles, Roscoe, Elsie, Dollie and Viola. Earl is survived by daughters: Ginger and Gregory Aronhalt of Canyon Lake, TX, Susan King of Port Ludlow, WA and Tammie and Peter Brown of Larkspur, CO; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
