Eloise Laverne Patrick, 90, of Olathe, KS passed away at home on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted Wife, loving Mama, Grandma, Mimi and friend to many. Visitation will be from 10-11am, Saturday, October 24th at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula, Olathe, KS. Funeral services will follow at 11am with burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Medical Center Hospice.

Eloise was born on December 29, 1924 in Olathe, KS to Ruel and Lena Mahaffie. After working for King Radio for many years, she retired alongside her husband of 59 years, Henry Patrick. They attended the First Christian Church of Olathe and she also became an excellent embroiderer. She enjoyed cooking and trying out recipes from her favorite cooking shows. Above all else, she thoroughly enjoyed being able to spoil her grandchildren. Two of her grandchildren, Cheramie and Clay, were blessed to have grown up across the street from Grandma and Grandpa. This blessing was carried on by her “Lil Buddy,” Corbin, her great grandson. Her grandson, Brad, was always certain to make time to come visit. Grandma’s house was a special retreat for the family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her!

Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Robert and Charles Patrick.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Duke) Smith of Olathe and Sandra Lawrence of Edgerton; one son, Ron Patrick of Olathe; one brother, Lee Mahaffie; two sisters, Virginia Runnels and Minnie Midyett. She also leaves to cherish her memory 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
