George F. “Frank” Fife, 83 of Spring Hill, KS died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Black Hawk Assisted Living Center in Spring Hill.

A Celebration of Frank’s life will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Olathe, 2024 E. 151st Street. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 am Saturday at the church.

Frank was born September 20, 1931 in Shawnee, KS to Edith I. and Frank H. Fife. He graduated from Spring Hill High School and worked on his family’s dairy farm before joining the US Army in 1952 and serving in Korea. Frank married Velma Hiatt and they enjoyed 62 years together. He worked 37 years for KCP&L before retiring as a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a granddaughter Hillary Fife; great granddaughter, Chloe Corbet; one brother and two sisters.

Frank’s survivors include his wife Velma; sons Darrel Fife (wife Ivy) of Montrose, CO; Gary Fife (wife Theresa) of Olathe; daughter Kimberly Shriver (husband Rick) of Olathe; two brothers and two sisters; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
