Helen Louise Mott, 85, of Edgerton, KS passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family May 1, 2016 at Olathe Hospice House.
Cremation with inurnment at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
The family requests memorial contributions to benefit the Edgerton Food Pantry or the Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation for Hospice House in her memory. She was always feeding people so that would make her smile.

Helen was born November 17, 1930 in Toronto, KS to Benjamin Franklin and Violet Ernestine (Shobe) Wilson. She grew up in Greenwood County. Helen married George Nelson Mott on February 15, 1966 in Olathe, KS. They resided in Edgerton since 1960. She was a loving and devoted mother of four children. Helen worked for 38 years at Edgerton Elementary School as a teacher’s aide, where she received the Shooting Star award. Helen was a member of EHU in Edgerton, KS. She was always sharing her wonderful cooking, baking, flowers and craft talents. You never told her something couldn’t be found or made as she would make it her mission to track it down. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George in 2010; sister, Betty Klingler and brother, Thomas Wilson. She is survived by her children: Thomas Rodgers of Olathe, KS, Mary Rogers of Edgerton, KS, Bradley Rogers and wife Deeanna of Enid, OK and Rick Rogers and wife Sharon of Olathe, KS; sister, Donna Cave of Sun City, AZ; brother, David Wilson of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
