Ida Mae Walls


Ida Mae Walls, age 85, died peacefully on October 8, 2015, at home with husband LT Walls, daughter Judy Williams, husband Ralph, son Robert Walls, and wife Lynne Walls.

She was born May 12, 1930, in Phelps County, Mo. to the late N. A. Rosenburg and Pearl Rosenburg. Ida thoroughly enjoyed her family, fishing, game nights, and many crafts. She had a strong faith in God and was well known as a caring person that always chose to see the best in others. Ida was a loving mother to Tom Walls (deceased 2008), Judy Williams, and Bob Walls, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was one of 10 children; survived by brothers Cecil Rosenburg and Neil Rosenburg. In 1948, Ida married the love of her life Luther Thomas Walls Jr.

They started their marriage in Rolla, Mo., then briefly lived in Oklahoma before moving to Kansas City in 1954; residing in Spring Hill, Ks. from 1974 to present. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed ministering in many different capacities. They were members of the Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, Ks., for 12 years where they made many lifelong friends.

There will be memorial service on October 13th at 2PM, at Church of the Resurrection in Wesley Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Crossroads Hospice, 11150 Thompson Ave, Lenexa, Ks. 66219.
