Joshua Tyler Hoston, 14, of Spring Hill, KS passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2015.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Bruce Funeral Home, Spring Hill, KS, 913-592-2244. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 8:30 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015, also at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Miami County Mental Health, 401 N East St, Paola, KS 66071

Josh was born June 23, 2001 in Overland Park, KS to Daren Mansa Hoston and Courtney Beth Ford. He lived in Olathe before moving to Spring Hill six years ago. Josh was an incoming freshman at Spring Hill High School. Josh played football, basketball, track and wrestling. He held the middle school record in the high jump and received a first place in league wrestling. He won a Punt, Pass and Kick competition two years in a row. Josh also played the violin in the middle school orchestra. Josh was an active teen who also loved fishing, Dexter his dog and Kit-Kat his cat. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Josh is survived by his father Daren Hoston of Overland Park, KS; mother Courtney Ford of Spring Hill, KS; grandparents Sherman and Doris Hoston of Overland Park and Johnny and Debbie Ford of Spring Hill; siblings Jordan James Hoston, Jared John Hoston, Adreona Jones, Jasmyn Geiger, and Kayla Winans; aunts and uncles Beau and Cassie Ford of Spring Hill, Landon Hoston of Dallas, TX, and Shermonia Hoston of Delhi, LA; and cousins Shaira, Layla, LaCronda, Atticus, Machaela, and Christian.
