Mark Adam Ginger, 48, formerly of De Soto, KS, passed away December 26, 2015. A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, January 2, 2016, 10am, St. Paul Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle, Olathe, KS. The family will receive friends from 9am to 10am prior to Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Olathe, KS. Family and friends will gather at the VFW in De Soto, Kansas Saturday January 2nd from 1pm to 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Church or the American Lung Association .
Mark was born on December 26, 1967 in Springfield, IL to Dwayne and Mildred (Dewey) Ginger. He was a 1986 graduate of De Soto High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Mark was an avid woodworker, Royals and Chiefs fan. He was an excellent cook and loved to grill out. Mark enjoyed telling a joke and providing comedic relief to anyone in earshot. Although he was extremely busy throughout life, he was able to fulfill the duties of Vice President of Public Relations of the M Squad. Above all else, he was a dedicated father who loved his girls immensely.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Ginger.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Marissa and Morgan Ginger of Castle Rock, CO. He is also survived by his father, Dwayne Ginger of Greensburg, KY; siblings, Julie Ginger of Grain Valley, MO, Joni Boswell of Olathe, KS, Todd (Lenita) Ginger of Eldon, MO, Kelly Ginger of Gardner, KS and Patrick Ginger of Gardner, KS.
