Patricia (Pattie) M. Baca-Johnson, 47, of Gardner, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

Pattie was born on October 9, 1968 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Daniel and Jeanette (Rowell) Pierre. She received her GED and graduated in 2001. After graduation she continued her education at Johnson County Community College. Pattie married the love of her life John Johnson on June 14, 1997 in Gardner, Kansas.

Pattie enjoyed coaching both of her son’s recreation basketball teams from 1998 thru 2003 and watching her two sons participate in high school athletics. She also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, the San Antonio Spurs and attending Wellsville High School football and basketball games.

Pattie is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Pierre, mother Jeanette Sloan and sister, Melissa Sue Sloan. Survivors include her loving husband of eighteen years John Johnson of the home, two sons, Robert Kevin Baca of Grand Island, Nebraska and Michael Jeffery Baca of Olathe, Kansas. Left behind to cherish her memory is her granddaughter Lena June Baca. Pattie is also survived by her step-father Robert Sloan (Sara) of Shawnee, Kansas, brother, Greg Sloan (April) of Pittsburg, Kansas and sister ,Helen Meacham (Steven) of Raytown, Missouri.

Pattie will be cremated according to her wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 7:00p.m., Thursday, February 25th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation is from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Thursday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
