Thelma Helen Kirby passed away September 16th, 2015.

Thelma was born December 29th, 1919 in McLouth, KS to Edgar and Mary Louise Osborn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wellington F. Kirby. They had lived in Olathe since 1950.

Thelma was devoted to her family, friends and community. Her activities included Salvation Army Auxiliary – Providing layettes to mothers of newborns, and furnishing food pantries, Olathe Medical volunteer, Girl Scouts Volunteer, and a Johnson County Election Judge. She enjoyed playing bridge and bowling.

Thelma is survived by her daughters Gail Proske of Independence, MO and Lynn Phillips (Steven) of Blue Springs, MO.; 6 grandchildren, Krista Davis (Scott), Teresa Aldridge (Scott), Brent Proske, and Kyle Phillips (Amy); 7 great grandchildren and sisters Beulah Smith (Loren) and Ruth Duggar (Doyle).

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Ida Doris Olster and Effie Putnam.

Graveside Services will be 3:00P.M. Friday, September 18th at Wild Horse Cemetery in McLouth, KS. 19684 74th Street, McLouth, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice 13314 W. 98th St, Lenexa, KS 66215 or Salvation Army 402 E. Santa Fe. Olathe, KS. 66061.
