William “Bill” Leo Lewis, 82, of Olathe, KS passed away December 31, 2015 at his home.

Bill was born February 20, 1933 in Tulsa, OK to Ivan C. and Leo (Dickey) Lewis. He grew up in Tulsa where he attended school until he joined the United States Air Force. Bill married Ann Lynn Cheek May 28, 1966 in Miami, OK. In 1979 they moved to Olathe. He worked for Farmers Insurance Group in Overland Park as an Auto-Physical Damage District Manager.

After retirement he was a boat mechanic and repaired outboard motors. Bill was a member of the Spring Hill Masonic Lodge #56 and the Abdallah Shrine Temple of Overland Park. He was an avid sports fan, fisherman and golfer. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dick and Bob Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Ann of the home; son, Chris Lewis of Eudora, KS; daughter, Valerie Owings of Paola, KS; five grandchildren: Rhett, Madie, Maxie, Michael and Carly.
