Early morning robbery at Olathe Applebee’s

Olathe police are investigating an aggravated robbery that took place about 4 a.m., June 15, at the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill on South Harrison Street.

According to police reports, two white males confronted a store employee and demanded money. During the course of the robbery, the employee sustained a minor injury. He was taken by Johnson County Med-Act to a local hospital. There were no other employees at Applebee’s.The only description available is that one of the suspects is approximately 6 foot tall.

Aggravated robbery at Strangline Wendy’s

On March 25th, 2015 at 8:37 a.m., Olathe police officers were called just past 8:30 Wednesday morning, March 25, to the 11900 block of south Strangline Road where a 33-year-old female Wendy’s employee said a white male threatened her with a knife as she opened up the restaurant.

She told police the suspect demanded money but fled the scene after encountering another employee inside the store. The suspect took the employee’s cell phone when he left.

The victim described the suspect as being a white male, possibly with facial hair, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The victim gave a height range of 5’8” to 6’0” and an age range of mid-20s to mid-30s.

Olathe PD seeks ID help

suspect 1The Olathe Police Department is attempting to identify this subject involved in an attempted armed robbery on April 27.

The suspect shown entered the Subway restaurant at College and Lone Elm through the back door. The male pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money but the clerk refused noting the gun was bb gun.  The suspect ran out the front door leaving the sun glasses and the bb gun behind.

The suspect was described as a white male, late teens – early 20 s, 6’2″ and 150 pounds, thin build with a clean shaven head and acne scarring on his cheeks.
